He started his professional career in 1991 when he collaborated with the SOS music group as a recording artist and produced the album One of Many Nights. Soon in 1992, Kurupt signed a contract with Death Row Records. This contract opened many paths for him on his way to success. He consequently met artists like Snoop Dogg, Daz Dillinger, Dr Dre, Nate Dogg, etc. He has also served as the executive vice president of Death Row Records.
