David Goggins is a retired United States Navy SEAL member. He is also a former the United States Air Force Tactical Air Control Party member. He served in the Iraq war.
Apart from having an inspiring military career, he is also an ultra-distance cyclist, ultramarathon runner, triathlete, motivational speaker, and author.
He also shared a self-help memoir book in 2018. It was named “Can’t Hurt Me”.

What is David Goggins famous for?
Goggins had originally applied for the United States Air Force Pararescue and got in after his third attempt. During training, Goggins was diagnosed with sickle cell trait. Upon his return after a week, he was asked by his commander to do it anew, to which he refused and went on to join TACP. Goggins served as a member of TACP from 1994 until 1999.
Goggins completed his BUD/S training, after his third attempt, in 2001 and was allocated in Team Five of SEAL.
Goggins ran his first ultramarathon in San Diego for 19 hours and 6 minutes and covered 101 miles. Within two years Goggins earned himself a spot among top 20 ultramarathon runners of the world. Gobbins ran the ultramarathon, Moab 240 in 2020 and was placed second. He covered a distance of 241 miles in 63 hours and 21 minutes.
Goggins is also a motivational speaker. He has spoken to several sports team and athletes of several professional teams like Atlanta Hawks and many others. Living With a SEAL is a book by Jesse Itzler, in which he has put down his experience of living with Goggins for a month.

David Goggins was diagnosed with health issues like asthma and obesity. But his inspiring weight loss journey has been an example for several people for over years.
After Goggins’s fourth year in the US Airforce, he was informed that he was way too unfit to get through the SEAL training as he was of approximately 300 pounds back then. Goggins did not even take three complete months to lose his poundage and came back weighing around 190 pounds.
For running an ultramarathon for a charity, in 2005, Goggin’s again lost 103 pounds in eight months.Runner’s World called him a hero of the sport in 2008.
Goggins, in 2013, has also made his place in Guinness Book of World Record for 24Hours pullup.
